Hi everyone, my name is Kaitlyn Corral and I am the SHPE President for the '25-'26 academic school year! I am in my third year of industrial engineering and am originally from Bakersfield, CA. Outside of SHPE, I am a Shop Technician for the Mustang Machine Shops. Stop by and you might see me working! I am thrilled to play such an important role in a club that means so much to me! Before officially attending Cal Poly I had the opportunity to get the SHPE experience and knew that SHPE Cal Poly was where I was meant to be. This year, I have goals of increasing our club membership and retention and growing our SHPEtina community. I hope that you consider being a part of SHPE and joining our Familia!

Hi everyone! My name is Alanis Marsh, but I usually go by Lani, and I’m the Director of Corporate Affairs for this school year. I’m a fourth-year Computer Science student from San Diego. In my free time, I love rock climbing at The Pad, reading, listening to music, and playing video games. A fun fact about my family is that my Nana came to the U.S. through Operación Pedro Pan, and she just published a book about her experience! My role at SHPE is to bring in companies, manage our professional connections, and raise money for our club through corporate sponsorship. I also manage the corporate team which is in charge of various events like professional development workshops and the alumni panel. My goal this year is to create professional opportunities for our members by connecting them with companies and helping them prepare for internships and full-time jobs. I want to make sure everyone has the support and resources to succeed in their field.

My name is Natalia, and I'm this year's Director of Internal Affairs for SHPE! I have several hobbies, including reading, going to the gym, and going to the beach. My favorite hobby is making coffee, especially espresso. I love learning new techniques on how to pull the perfect espresso shot, making latte art, which roasts are the best for my palette, and making delicious syrups and cold foams for my lattes. As Director of Internal Affairs, I'll be coordinating the MentorSHPE/Familia Program as well as planning fun and social events for SHPE members to enjoy. I plan to provide exciting and enriching events to students who are looking to decompress, as well as helpful academic resources through the hard work of my team.

Hello everyone, my name is Roberto Carmona-Gijon and I am this year's Director Of community affairs for this year. I am a 3rd year mechanical engineering major with a concentration in manufacturing. I am from Santa Maria, CA. Other then SHPE I love music, hanging out with friends, and Love Cartoons. I am so excited to be this years Dir. of Community affairs as SHPE has been part of my life since I was a junior year of high school when I first joined my SHPE Jr chapter and since then I have loved the energy and community that It brings that is the reason why I decided to join SHPE at Cal Poly to make sure that i have that same sense of community with people that share the same background and goals as me and to bring that same community to other younger students.

My name is Isabella Pelayo and I am this year's secretary. My hobbies include cooking new recipes and discovering new spots to hike. Some key responsibilities include recording meeting minutes, organizing fall and spring elections, and coordinating the SHPE annual banquet. My goals for this year as secretary of SHPE include maintaining organized records of all chapter meetings and events, ensuring clear communication across our board and general members.

Hello! My name is Andrew Apatiga, and I’m a 4th-year Mechanical Engineering student at Cal Poly SLO. I’m excited to serve as Treasurer for the 2025–2026 school year and be part of the SHPE board! A few fun facts about me, I love to fish, spend time outdoors, and I’ve completed a half marathon. As Treasurer, my main goal is to ensure a successful 2025 SHPE Nationals trip while maintaining a strong budget for next year’s board.

Hi! My name is Eddy Resendiz. I'm a third year Computer Science major, and currently I serve as Webmaster for Cal Poly SHPE. My role as Webmaster includes maintaining and up keeping our Slack and online website, keeping track of member points, creating the general meeting slides, and much more. In other words, if you're reading this, I updated the website to include our officers for the 2025-26 year. My hobbies include going to the gym, trying new foods, playing soccer/volleyball, and hiking. I hope to make improvements for the website to make it more modern, and help expand our chapter's online presence.

I like reading, playing video games, and going to the gym! For my position in SHPE, I am the person who is responsible for managing the SHPE social media accounts, which include the Instagram and TikTok. I create flyers/posts for all SHPE events and send out our weekly Newsletter throughout the year. My goals for SHPE is to get more student involvement and participation in SHPE events and do my best with the marketing of our club.

My name is Leslie Jimenez, and I'll be your SHPEtina Rep for 2025-26! In my free time, I really enjoy writing poetry, painting, and baking. I also really like running and hiking. As your SHPEtina Rep, I know it can be daunting to study at a PWI. My goal is to ensure SHPE feels like your familia away from home, a safe space where everyone feels welcomed, included, and empowered. To me, a huge part of that is by prioritizing mental and emotional health by helping students find the resources they need to feel supported, valued and understood.

My position is mainly organizing and planning the professional development workshops for SHPE members in order to prepare them for the professional field. Some of my goals for SHPE this year is to get more students involved in the club events and plan at least 2 workshops per quarter.

I am an incoming 3rd year civil engineering student from Lompoc, CA & Jalisco, Mex. I enjoy spending quality time with my friends and my family. I lived in Jalisco for 7 years and my direct family lives there so I go back as often as I can. Since Spring Quarter of 2023 I've been a Student Assistant for the Latinx Center (La CASA) and our main focus is to provide resources to students and create a community on campus. I decided to join SHPE and take the DCAB role mainly to continue on doing what I do in my current job which is support students and make them feel welcome. I made a lot of friends through SHPE and the club also provides a lot of opportunities for your success so I would suggest to take advantage of them, and if you have any questions feel free to come up to me or any of the other officers and we'll do our best to help. I can't wait to see what amazing things SHPE has stored for this 2024-2025 academic year!

What I like most about SHPE is the community it provides as I have met some of my close friends here. My goal as an academic officer is to help at least one individual overall improve their grades and have a successful school year. Following post graduation, I would like to get into the oil industry and hopefully work my way into being an offshore subsea engineer.
